Cookie Policy

1.1A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies let a site recognise your browser between requests, for example to keep you signed in or to remember a setting.

1.2This Cookie Policy (the "Policy") explains which cookies the sites birden.kz, app.birden.kz and api.birden.kz (the "Service") set and why. It supplements the Privacy Policy.

2.1birden_session (api.birden.kz): identifies your signed-in session in the dashboard. It is set when you sign in and expires after 7 days or when you sign out. It carries the HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite=Lax attributes and contains only an opaque random token; it never contains your email or password.

2.2birden_lang (birden.kz and app.birden.kz, domain .birden.kz): stores the language you selected (en, ru or kk) so that the site and the dashboard open in that language. It is set when you use the language switcher and expires after 1 year. It contains only the two-letter language code.

2.3Both cookies are strictly necessary for the function you requested (signing in, choosing a language), so no separate consent is required for them under the applicable legislation. Without them the dashboard cannot keep you signed in and the language would have to be chosen on every visit.

3.1The Service does not load third-party analytics, advertising, social-media or tag-management scripts and does not set tracking cookies. If this changes, the Policy will be updated and consent will be requested before any non-essential cookie is set.

3.2Websites that customers deploy on the Service may set their own cookies; those are governed by the respective customer's policies, not by this Policy.

4.1The dashboard may use the browser's local storage to remember interface preferences (for example a collapsed panel). This data stays in your browser, is not sent to the Operator and can be cleared through the browser settings.

5.1You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking birden_session will prevent you from signing in to the dashboard; blocking birden_lang means the site will choose the language from your browser settings on every visit.

5.2Signing out deletes the session cookie. Choosing a language again overwrites the language cookie.

6.1The Operator may update this Policy. The current version is published at birden.kz/legal/cookies with the date of the last update.
